This is the page of Bo Fjord's Cloudy AKA Quinn AKA "Prinsen" (when I speak to him in Norwegian)
Quinn is the perfect Fjord horse!
Well, the perfect fjord for me, at least. He is short coupled and very compact, with a beautiful topline and a very expressive head. He was awarded a blue ribbon in the fjord evaluation in Turlock 2001, indicating an overall score of over 80%.
He has a great walk with long overstep, a nice rythmic trot and an extraordinary canter. He is more of a riding horse type, with a shorter back than the typical draft/driving horses. He collects easily, but our challenge is to obtain real extensions, especially at the trot. And he is full of bounce! He already jumps small courses and never hesitates or stops. Brave as a lion. Yes, he will be an eventer. I'm planning for the first outing spring 2003. Hopefully I'll have a chance to school him cross-country soon. And maybe even get a saddle that fits his wide back.
We have started ground driving and he does well. August 2003: He STILL hasn't been hitched up. Bad fjord owner. But boy does he do well in dressage and jumping...

Hello, I'm Quinn
Yes, when I'm comfortable my lower lip starts dropping. When I'm real happy it will drop so low it looks like a toothless grin. When I walk it bounces up and down. And yes, I am adorable!

See picture to the right (this page layout is funny, sorry)
Quinn and friend Kaila, who does a great job riding him! Our horses' home in background. Dry pasture, outside year round, lots of horses together. Works great for the fjords!
